Merut Construction is excited to announce we just achieved our Prequalification Certification to work as a subcontractor with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Our construction company will now be able to leverage our capable team and equipment to complete these services on projects throughout the state of Pennsylvania:

• Concrete and Masonry Coatings
• Silt Barrier Fence, Gabions, Erosion Control
• Rebar Installation
• Caissons

We’re excited to use our unique construction skillset to help improve, secure, and optimize the great Keystone State’s roadways for all its residents and travelers.

Why This Matters

The approval of our prequalification certification for specific class codes allows Merut Construction to perform highway construction work for General Contractors with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Being a prequalified contractor for PennDOT, our company will now be able to work on major projects throughout the state, including roadways, highways, bridges, and any other places we can lend our services.

PennDOT makes sure every application passes a rigorous evaluation process before accepting construction contractors into their program. Every applicant must register as a PennDOT business partner. They also require project references to verify experience and skill in each class code the company applies for. Merut Construction successfully navigated the review process, receiving positive feedback and strong recommendations. This prequalification certification must be renewed every two years. 

Merut Construction, in its eighth year of business, and equipped with our team’s combined experience, is now officially approved to work with PennDOT. Moving forward, we will often be bidding as a subcontractor to support general contractors. So, we are enthusiastic to share this good news with other prequalified contractors for PennDOT so that we may lend them our services.
